Charlotte Skyline
The picture below was taken from the Central Ave. bridge over Independence Blvd. After the American Revolution, Charlotte was consistently bustling city. During post-American Revolution Charlotte became a center for mining, which led to the emergence of mints and banks. The city's busy pace increased with the North Carolina Railroad's west end in Charlotte. Through the railroad the people of Charlotte had easy access to imports and ability to quickly export goods. Charlotte later became a center for the textile industry after the Civil War. The twentieth century brought a return to the growth in the banking institution.
