Bayard Rustin, Cleveland Robinson, and the 1963 March on Washington

Rustin (1912-1987) was born in was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Rustin's civil rights activism was mainly in the South. Rustin would return to New York City again for the organization of the 1963 March on Washington. Robinson (1914-1995) was born in Jamaica and immigrated to the United States in 1944. Robinson's civil rights activism took place in New York City, where he was a member of various civil rights and labor groups.
